If you lose the IMEI by any means (for instance, flashing ROM), then even a call won’t go through the device. In order to avoid any such difficulties, let’s have a look on the step by step guide of MobileUncleTools to backup IMEI on Android
Note: Root access is compulsory for using this app, so root your device prior to installing MobileUncleTools and initiating to backup IMEI on Android.
Step 1: Install and run the aforementioned app, then you will see a pop-up prompting for ‘SU app’ permission. Ensure to tap ‘Grant’ to allow root access to your Android phone.

Restoring the lost IMEI for the same device will enable your Android to behave normally again. Here are the steps for restoring IMEI on Android.
Step 1: On the same rooted device used in “backup Android IMEI” procedure above, launch the ‘MobileUncleTools’ app again and select ‘IMEI Backup Restore’ option.
Step 2: Now, select the preferred restore option (third one [internal memory] or fourth one [SD card], whichever shows the available backup) from the list, and then click ‘OK’ to confirm.
Note: If you have saved the IMEI backup of Android in your computer, then transfer it to your phone’s internal/SD card storage prior to starting the restore action.
Step 3: Upon seeing a pop-up window with the backup file’s name, click ‘OK’ to proceed. Confirm all the positive options and that’s it your IMEI’s restored to your Android device. Now, click ‘OK’ to reboot your device.
